Set within the vertical landscape of Century City skyscrapers, this commercial design for a Hollywood law firm began with a fundamental question: what could office space become? Designed as the pandemic redefined workplace expectations, the answer emerged as a new paradigm — one where gathering and privacy coexist. The result evokes both the refinement of a fine hotel and the comfort of home.
The studio reimagined the vast commercial space to create an entirely new layout, where private offices were intertwined with unique social gathering spaces. Threading a 1970s-inspired aesthetic throughout, the project encompasses the full capabilities of the studio where architecture and interior design ran deeper, and spanned much wider.
Advocating for a modest reduction in the footprint of each of the 30 offices allowed for the creation of airy communal areas and inviting lounges. Distinctive wood-panelled hallways with undulating glass allowed external light to permeate throughout. Meeting rooms marked by curved columns and sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles views offered spaces for both focus and delight.

The resulting build is a law office that is unlike any other
